How can we bridge the gap between teacher education and real-world classroom teaching? This is one of the key questions that the research school ROCIT, based at the Department of Educational Sciences at Lund University, aims to address.

In a recently published article in LUM – Lund University Magazine, Professor Roger Johansson and doctoral student Linnea Khodiar discuss the research school’s work and how it can help strengthen the connection between academia and schools.

– "For me, it is important that I conduct research for teachers, not about them, and that it is done in an inclusive way," says Linnea Khodiar, whose dissertation examines newly graduated teachers in for-profit upper secondary schools.
