I am a professor of Educational Science specialization in school and the teaching profession—the first with this focus at LU. My background is as a teacher, with certification from grades 4-6, subject teacher ke/bi 7-9, and secondary teacher in ped/psych. I defended my thesis in pedagogy at LU in 1995, which was about teaching students with autism. In 2006, I was appointed associate professor at LU. After the defense, I served at HKr, GU, and MAU before returning to LU in 2023.

My research interests have always focused on school, teacher education, and higher education. I have participated as a scientific leader in several graduate schools, e.g., the National Research School for Pedagogical Work (2001-2010), Learning Study with a focus on subject didactics, and SET—Research School in Special Education for Teacher Educators (2018-2022). As the main applicant for several externally funded research projects, I have conducted research in collaboration with practicing teachers since 2002.
