Sweden is one of the countries in the world with the highest proportion of students in the same classroom, regardless of skill level. At the same time, many students finish primary school without being able to read properly and without qualifying for further studies. “When we see that the results aren’t as expected, it’s time to rethink,” says Mona Holmqvist, professor of educational science at Lund University.
