The Department of Educational Sciences is a young department in The Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology at Lund University. Since it was established in March 2011, there has been intensive work to develop the department towards a leading position in research and education within educational sciences in Sweden.

Our research aims to be multifaceted and extensive. There shall be disciplinary breadth (multi- and interdisciplinary) and a striving for in-depth research. The link to teacher training means that educational sciences research can also make a scholarly contribution to knowledge development in the teaching profession.
